INDOOR SEASON UPDATE 8th March 2010
The indoor A side retained their place in the top flight of the Indoor league following a twelve run victory over Clifton, which condemned Clifton to bottom place and relegation in our place. Going into this last game we had lost 8 out of 8, and with Clifton winning just once, and with a marginally worse run rate, Blunham needed a win to stave off relegation. Thankfully, we posted our highest score of the season 192-2 off our twelve overs, and Clifton fell twelve short thanks mainly to a miserly penultimate over from Ben Harding.
The B team went into their last game needing a big win, and duly obliged with a win, although results elsewhere went against them, and they found themselves in third place after leading the division for the first part of the season, and were left to rue a defeat against Brickhill.

INDOOR SEASON REPORT 11th DECEMBER 2009
After 4 of the 9 games completed in the 2009/2010 indoor County League Season, the A and the B teams are showing conflicting fortunes. Having both been promoted last season, this season was in theory going to be tough. The B team lost Connor to the A side, and the A side was playing in the First division for the first time. However, both teams have managed to keep up a 100% record so far, with the A team losing every game and the B team winning every game! Fortunately, the A team are still not bottom as Clifton have not won a game either and have a worse net run rate. Nick has also managed to persuade his cousin Ben to play, which hopefully will add some steel to both batting and bowling departments. The B team narrowly gained promotion on the last day, last season, with a marginally better run rate than 3 other teams. A settled side, a better game plan, some good personal performances and a couple of close games won that could have gone either way, have made the difference, and 3 more wins from the remaining 5 games should see promotion to Division 2.
The A team play their last game before Christmas, this Sunday the 13th, in the Bunyan Centre at 12 Noon vs Southill A, whom they fancy getting their first win against. The B team play on Sunday the 20th, at Oakley Lincroft Middle School, at 10am vs Ampthill D, who are their nearest rivals for promotion. A win will go along way to securing promotion. Hopefully the A side can gain a good win from somewhere or both sides may be facing each other next Winter..................
