105 HOURS - Sorted ! A new OFFICALLY CONFIRMED world record !
Through wind and torrential rain the 2 teams from Blunham Cricket Club played on throughout 5 days and four nights
to successfully regain their world record for the longest ever continuous cricket match. At 7.00pm on Monday evening, amid scenes of
jubilation from the huge crowd, fireworks and champagne, the marathon was over. Player captain Neil Wildon paid tribute to the
army of people without whom the marathon game could not have been achieved; the scorers, the professional witnesses,
the medical support, the caterers and many others, not to mention the 24 players, including the two 12th men, (one of which was a woman).
